The Pursuit Challenge’s women’s podium for Friday has changed. After the evaluation of race files and timekeeping, it has been determined that the preliminary podium has changed. The battle for the third place came down to a couple of seconds.

It’s incredible to see young talent like Danielle Strydom, Monique du Toit and Tiffany Keep putting up a spectacular race and inspiring younger girls to get into the sport of mountain biking.

“My experience of the Pursuit Challenge was a totally new and exciting one. I’d never raced that distance (84km) on the mountain bike before, and especially in an individual time trial format. Having the opportunity to race again in a new area was too exciting to turn down, and the experience did not disappoint. It was certainly a tough race and my body took a bit of a beating from a crash earlier on in the week, but my favourite aspect was definitely the amazing trails we got to ride in the race! Francois and his team from Buffelsdrift Trail Park, as well as the event organizers, did an amazing job and I definitely appreciated the opportunity to race my bike during these uncertain times!” Tiffany Keep
